Molly's Solstice Party (Celebration #17)

Isn't it funny that sometimes the things that are the most fun are the least interesting to blog about? For our celebration today, we went to our friend Molly's annual Solstice party. Most years we miss it because we're traveling to or from Oregon, but since we're home this year, we actually got to go. We don't get to see as much of Molly as we'd like to-- she lives up by San Francisco which is quite a long drive from here-- so it's always a treat.

Speaking of treats, I made oatmeal cookies with dried cranberries and chocolate chips to take the party. There were also these wonderful vegan gingersnaps that the hosts made for us:

This party was kind of nuts, I think at the peak there were something like six people under the age of 3 there. Needless to say, the Emperor had a really freakin' good time. I had a good time too but it seems to have provoked quite a headache in me, so I am going to wrap this up promptly and get into bed.

He really WAS having a good time though you can't tell it from the pictures I took of him at the party, which all involved this red watering can:

He really needs his bangs cut.
